Q1. Introduction to "SATURN"

SATURN is a College of Agriculture and Life Sciences‘ basketball club with a long history and is affiliated with the Agricultural College Club Association. SATURN is a club with deep skills and history that has continued since 1970 and participated in the school league in Seoul National University as a management team. There are about 40 to 50 club members, and 'Saton Team', 'Saton OB Team', and 'Titan Team' are participating in the league. "Satton OB Team" is a team played by seniors who graduated, "Satton Team" is a regular team, and "Titan Team," a second division team, is a team of members who start playing basketball for the first time, with a total of three teams participating in the league.

Q2. Why did you name your club "SATURN"

I've heard that SATURN has a ring. The name was given because Saturn's rings look like basketballs. Team Titan, a second-division team, is named after Titan, the moon of Saturn.

Q3. Activity of SATURN

Regular practice is held at the general gym every weekend. Tactical training and basic skills training are carried out in regular practice. Also, there are many irregular practices in the outdoor courts near the dormitory's gym or club room, usually 4-4, 3-3. In addition to this, the biggest event is to participate in the school league every semester. Seoul National University's college basketball competition called "Ivy League" has a game once a week except for the exam period, and there is a playoff game at the end of the semester. In addition, we are participating in the president's cup basketball competition in the first semester and in the second semester, we are participating in the general sports competition. During vacation, we also participates in external competitions such as basketball tournaments at Sogang University and basketball research institutes.

Q4. SATURN's special event or SATURN's charm

First of all, SATURN is a club that runs a basketball league, so you have the opportunity to participate as a league referee or record keeper. Also, I think our club has better friendship than other clubs. Even if it is not a regular practice, people often gather and practice or play games freely in chat rooms. Thanks to the only basketball club in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences, it also hosts the College of Agriculture Dean's Cup basketball competition. We are planning to do it again this October to November. Also, we have a homecoming event. The seniors who graduated from the homecoming event come to play basketball games and eat together. I think these are special events unique to our club.

Q5. Future operation plan

Likewise, the aforementioned regular events and regular activities will continue to operate, and we will also participate in the Sogang Grand Cup Basketball Competition in November. Also, we are going to focus on recruiting new students during the second semester. If there is a small difficulty that our club is experiencing, there are a few new students. There will be a recruiting during this fall semester, so please pay a lot of attention. Also, we are going to have an excessive resistance at this dean's basketball tournament, but we think we will need a lot of participants. Regardless of your skills, if you are interested in basketball at all, it would be good to have a fun time together.

Q6. A word to the students who want to join the SATURN

When you first join the basketball club, it might feel difficult because there are many older brothers, but I want to tell you that everyone is in a harmonious atmosphere. And even if you play basketball, you may not be able to participate in the game, but you have many opportunities to play basketball together even if it's not a game. If you are interested in basketball, it would be nice to play basketball together without feeling too much of a barrier. I think a lot of people feel the barrier.. I also heard that many people go to the central club basketball club, and it would be nice to come to SATURN where you can feel a sense of belonging as a member of College of Agriculture and Life Sciences and play basketball together.
