On September 14, 2018, SNU CALS held an MOU signing ceremony with QAAFI. QAAFI is a research institute under the University of Queensland sponsored by the Queensland Government. The University of Queensland is Australia’s most prestigious university in the field of agriculture, and it has excellent agricultural research capabilities. Suk-Ha Lee, Dean of SNU CALS; Professor Robert Henry, QAAFI director; the Hon. Mark Furner, Queensland minister for agricultural industry development and fisheries; and Stephen Williams, deputy director for QAAFI strategy and engagement, attended the ceremony. In this era of the fourth industrial revolution, SNU CALS and QAAFI agreed to promote mutual friendship and cooperation in smart-farm technology research. Furthermore, the two parties agreed to continue mutual exchanges by cooperating on a variety of subjects including joint research on natural plant and animal resources and commercialization of studies.
